What are some cringey movies or mangas you have watched/read?

Fuck “on the emperor’s lap” all my homies hate “on the emperor’s lap”

Reading on the emperor’s lap is like finding a puppy who was abandoned and abused by its previous owners. Raising that puppy and nurturing it with love and care until it can finally forget about the scars of its past. Then that puppy starts to make friends and find love again and when you think you’ve done a good job that puppy proceeds to bite you, shit on your face, and goes back to the people that abandoned him.

So yeah this manwha is the trashiest shit I’ve seen and I’ll explain why.

I’m just gonna give a very over simplified summary of the story cause I really can’t be bothered:
Girl meets boy. Boy is secretly a prince and helps girl become good at fighting. Girl is also disguised as boy and only boy knows other friends do not. War is happening. War is bad. Boy and friends with girl do something to do something to the war. Details irrelevant, they are the good guys. Boy is offered very good deal by rich lady and boy is currently broke. In order to get good deal boy needs to sell girl who is currently disguised as a boy to her. Boy does it and lies to friends saying that boy is dead. While girl is at rich lady’s house girl gets abused often but she still waits for boy to come back (spoiler he never does). Something happens and girl is moved to this fighting arena for slaves I guess. Details irrelevant, she suffers more. Also boy finds friend of girl when she was with rich lady because he’s trying to find her now. Girl’s friend lies and says she is dead and curses the boy because she wants her to be free from him. Boy kills friend. Blah blah blah story plot whatever girl now has no tongue and is picked up by a noble and is offered to the king to sleep with him. Girl finds out that the king is the boy because he became the king after the war that has now stopped and all the friends from back then are now famous knights and are living the good life. Boy sleeps with girl despite her not wanting it. (Multiple times). Amd he also something something her tongue is back and now she can speak and she says that she hates him. More r-word stuff happens and he finds out that she is girl and now he sad and doesn’t r-word her anymore instead he cries like the bitch he is. Also he threatens an oppressed race to help him or torture because freedom of choice. Anyway he cries some more and now girl likes him and that’s when I rage quit.



What I hate the most about this is that another character (the second male lead) straight up confronts the guy about him sleeping with her without her consent and he gets all pissy about it and is like “dO nOT toUcH My WomAn” like what? And this is the guy you choose to be the male lead? Wack.
