its a natural reaction to be taken aback to heavy shit, or to something dark or intense, it would be more mentally disturbing if you found it okay from reading a bunch of similar shit like that. honest to god maybe u shouldnt read stuff like that anymore if u get really anxious. also I just don't think u should ask the site that loves fucked up shi...... reply

Okay so everytime i read something a bit intense (for example dark heaven) i have to take a break.
and its not because im triggered by anything (at least i dont think i am...cause i can handle reading a whole bunch of stuff and have read things that had worse stuff in it just fine)
but i get sooo much anxiety about whats about to happen next. like its so bad i get super overwhelmed and i have to pause the story (and not even for a day but like i literally bookmark it and remove it and read it later, like maybe months later. it depends on if i remember to do so or not)
idkk maybe i am triggered by smth, but ive read many things similar to dark heaven and ig it "doesnt get to me". i think im too immersed into the story but idk
