Manga, hands down. I just really hate the way webtoons are constructed. It's like one panel and then TONS OF WHITE and then one panel and TONS MORE WHITE and I just can't even-- Webtoons are more indie though, which is likely where the sense of realism comes from. While it's true I do prefer that kind of story I just find the deliver method so agg...... 3 reply

Do you prefer Japanese manga or Korean webtoons?
I personally started got into BL because of Japanese manga but as I grow older, I'm starting to prefer Korean Webtoons The characters are usually more mature and the setting is more realistic, the Seme usually doesn't try to rape the uke, the characters feel like real people and it's often funny in a natural way. The series usually lasts for a longer time compared to manga which tends to be shorter.I enjoy the full color and a major reason is that I know Korean so I can enjoy webtoons in the original language without having to wait for translation.

What about you guys? Which do you prefer and why?

I read a lot of sad mangas, but the one that I still remember up until now (like for Christ sake, I still had that heartache whenever I remember) is Kyou Anata ni Wakare wo Tsugemasu by Madarame Hiro. That oneshot gave me instant heart-attack with brain tumor. I still...I just can't... *sobbing into a mess* 1 reply

and everything in your path even though they reuse the same tropes for like the millionth times!

1) Poor guy x Rich guy
2) Hottie transfer student
3) Childhood friend romance - my oh my, he suddenly turned into a hottie!
4) Popular guy x Shy guy
5) Normal megane guy turned into hottie without glasses
6) That innocent/fluffy looking guy is actually an S
7) Dark characters with Daddy Issues
8) It's festival time! Let's cross-dress the uke!
9) The "parents died in an accident" characters
10) Cast Full of Gays - If you're in the manga, you are gay.
