There can be many small reasons which might contribute to it but the main reason is him being super hot. Just a classic case of pretty privilege. No one would defend him if he were hideous, all their reasons and justification will dissappear in thin air. reply
How many of the top 10 in your favorite category have you read? I know it changes a lot, but for me, I realized I don’t read too many of the top 10 in my favorite category.
For example, out of the top 10 in yaoi right now, I’ve only read 4 of them (Again, Under the Greenlight, Dangerous Convenience Store, and The Pizza Delivery Man & the Golden Palace, all of which I highly recommend).
I like romance, and I do consume them a lot, but kind of not in genres that don't revolve around romance. I feel like the romance ends up overtaking the plot a lot of times and I just end up hating that. It's really rare for me to enjoy romance in actions. I think it just depends on the story;
Some author’s (across the bored) just put a lot more work into developing the relationships between the mc and other male characters than the mc with their female counterparts – so I think its to be expected that people will gravitate towards those pairings.
