When my friend (ex friend may i add) said that there were only two genders, male and female. I'm just like :/ because yeah I'm nonbinary but that shit still kind of affected me for some reason?? Like i know nonbinary means i exist out of the gender binary but it still hurt

My dumbàss always thought the word was made due to non binarys just shortened like NB's and then the pronounceation was enbys make sense? Or not idk, I'll stop using it if you want reply
