I have to agree with this. I had a SA experience with my ex, and since then these rapey comics have been comforting, because they either recover their relationships, get away, or find a better man, none of which happened to me. I just suffered, so seeing these and seeing the characters not suffer ( and I am not talking about Killing Stalking here) ...... reply
I hate how a large portion of ukes are literally the same. We originally had the cliche of weak femboi ukes who might as well be shoujo leads(reason why I barely read shoujo anymore) Now to combat that creators started putting muscles onto their characters but now it’s become another cliche of muscley ukes who are just that- muscley. when a male lead does something nonconsensually to a female lead, people go absolutely BONKERS. (ofc there’s those people who don’t care either way, but u get my point)
but when it’s two guys, it’s okay? no one bats an eye.

something to point out here is that the rapey vibe does appeal to a lot of readers, which you can tell because there's a lot of it not just in m/m stuff but also in f/m stuff. it's not that deep, many ppl just enjoy the fantasy of passivity and helplessness, of being relieved of all responsibility for the things they want. reading about it is a way...... reply
