Talking With People

To start off I don't really follow social media as much. I just have an Insta account to save pictures. This is the only website where I have actually interacted with people online. I like to participate in discussions, but I can't understand half of the replies or questions themselves. I feel like every week something new comes out and everyone know the reference. It is kind of embarrassing, since I am young and I feel like an old person who doesn't know how to use the Internet. I use some memes, because those are trendy now. However I don't really understand most of them or how to use them in a proper way.

What are some of your ways to learn how to blend in without looking a bit clueless?

Also, what does Chile mean?
