Well for one, yaoi/bl is made for girls. Female mangaka understand emotions and know how to appeal to female manga readers. Fujin (non-binary) and preferring men at this time. Females are often written as very weak or worse, very manipulative, so I prefer yaoi over hentai. Also just love the visual of two hot men together.

In general, I like the interactions between the couples. I like the plots even when they might not always be happy. Also, I relate more to BL than josei or shojo romance. Many of the woman in those genres are very feminine or have very stereotypical behaviors that I just don't like to see too much because I can't relate.

i thought it was cute because the moments they would have like dan and phil, whenever dan did videos on his own he was more uptight and yk aggressive but when he did videos with phil we was so calm and his soft side showed and it was sooo cute seeing him soften up to another man. reply
honestly i only started cuz i never liked girls in manga because they are just so no like any girls out there. like u can tell when the author is male because the girls are so idk weird? dont get me wrong there are some female leads that i would marry inna heartbeat but alot of them suck so i tried shonen ai and i liked it. i don’t really read ya...... reply
