Well, I kind of expected that Bara would get hated on anyways with its artstyle or like anatomy. I read a bara once in front of my best friend and she gave me a look of disgust that it wasn't the type of BL she normally reads.

I don’t read it, so imma guess it’s because some people (anti-fujoshis) preach that bara is written by gay men so it’s more realistic than yaoi (spoilers: both are not, yaoi’s uke/seme’s dynamic is awful and bara is just overly muscular men(at the level of john cena) fucking. Both of them are awful physically and in terms of relationship....... reply
i feel like it’s cause most people don’t like overly muscular men. i like buffy ukes w/ a small seme. buffy uke and buffy seme is too much for me honestly reply
