NORTHERN LIGHTS CHASING!

BelaNo1 BelaNo1 2016-03-16 15:42:18 About watching auroras
The thrill of witnessing the Aurora Borealis is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me or for many people.

Once I'm travelling in Finland, which is one of the best places to spot the Aurorae, I saw them with my naked eye!!!!

That was a clear and starry night, when we finished dinner, we went out searching for northern lights again, yes we were chasing them for days but we didn't see yet.

It tends to be very chilly on the clear winter nights when te lights are most easily seen. We were walking along a lakeshore, it's very dark and cold, I almost gave up!
The lights was unexpectedly appear, it's the first time we can saw them with our naked eye! I mean, we can saw them only by took a long time exposure photo but can't see them with our naked eye. Now we can saw them!! How exciting!

It is quite the sight to see. I live in Canada so I see them quite frequently but never as vivid as these since I'm from the city. Outside the city they are spectacular. Haven't seen them this winter which was a little disappointing.

I live in Norway so I see the aurora sometimes, but sadly where I live there is a lot of light pollution so it's often barely noticeable. My favorite thing is when you can see the lights moving, it fills me with an eerie feeling, but in an oddly pleasant way.
