Am I the only one thinking that most female leads are annoying?
From what I have seen the most typical female lead is the one who easily blushes, thinks out loud and freaks out over everything. I guess the purpose is to make them appear naive, honest, energetic and cute, but most of the time I find them annoying.
It’s either blush, low confidence, shy but works hard girls, or over confident, tsundere, richy rich and has everything stubborn girl. There’s so many shittly written girls I find it hard to like actual good female leads... 1 reply
I think most are fine, like 60/40.
I really dislike that kind of FL but I dislike even more the ML that creep on girls, the upsiy daisy, I accidentally fond your breasts and just saw you naked for half an hour while entering into the bathroom without touching first, hehe silly me. 2 reply
Yeah, a lot of them are but "Emperor And The Female Knight" and "Crimson Karma" have good female leads but the problem is is that both of them are dense. reply
This is why I stopped reading shoujo. I got addicted to it 4 years ago then switched to Josei, hoping that it will satisfy me. It did but not for a long time, there were a few Joseis that I liked but that's all. Now I'm reading mainly shounen-ai or yaoi, or no romance at all. reply
i think its either because its the author's preference or because showing a naive, weak girl to a strong, experienced in life girl is a easy way to show character development. though sometimes how the character is still so naive is weird because the person has gone through so much sh*t it just doesn't make sense how they are still so "uwu" and nice...... reply
