Simple suggestion if you heard about Discord or hipchat , can create channel for communication add friends there and have friends as well private chats too with people you add there ..

Yes! Making friends these days is insanely difficult, especially for shy and awkward people like myself. I have absolutely no one to talk to about anime/manga and most important yaoi. Want a friend? I'm your girl but, I warn you I really am the definition of an awkward person so it might take some time for me to warm up to you. reply
