Anybody here play or use to play an instrument?
What instrument are you playing/used to play? Why'd you take it up and if you use to play an instrument, why'd you drop it? Are you thinking of taking up playing an instrument again?
I played the viola for two years because my friend made me sign up for orchestra. Originally wanted to play the violin but the teacher said that there were too many violin players so i went with viola instead lol Anyway, i stopped playing when i moved schools also because i was shit Lmaooo I'm thinking of taking up the viola again because of this one bl i read and cuz I've been listening to classical music again recently.
Just bought an acoustic guitar for myself and I’ve been learning how to play it through YouTube tutorials. I actually wanted to learn how to play it for a long time but never had the time(in high school). I played flute, violin, guitar, piano. recently dropped piano after playing for around 5-6 years (i still play sometimes, just don't take lessons anymore) the rest were mostly just for short periods of time, around 6 months to a year at most. reply
I played the clarinet for 2 years, then dropped that to pick up the saxophone for 3 years, and also I've been playing piano for 8 years? I think and lol I tried guitar for a month, then I gave it up. reply
Uhh, I think it was violin, piano, back to violin, back to piano, then clarinet, then clarinet and chinese flute, then just chinese flute, then piano again, and then I just stopped altogether, though I do occasionally go back to attempt playing chinese flute or piano every once in a blue moon lol. I played the viola for 7 years! started in middle school and ended up joining a small band after high school (we performed for weddings and stuff) I loved playing the viola but I stopped after the band because I don't have my own instrument. But if I could ever afford one I'd definitely pick it up again. reply
I used to play euphonium for 3 yrs but stopped when I went into hs bc I knew it wasn’t my passion, so I switched to art. But my band directors tired rly hard to make me stay, although it didn’t work.

I have keyboard in my room, im not classically trained sadly but i can play piano pretty well in general. I started learning because i wanted to play Giornos theme and it sort of spiraled from there reply
