What was your first impression of yaoi when you first encountered it?
i Just wanna know. Most people around me says it's disgusting (╬￣皿￣)凸. I don't understand them obviously lol. Like the first time I discovered yaoi was of a picture of junjou romantica and apparently I found it Hot (was 13 at the time). then automatically got obsessed. like it didn't matter to me that they're both boys. I'm 21 now. And still a certified fujoshi (▰˘◡˘▰)
Idk I kinda just fell in love with it I guess? I was slowly getting sucked in. I never thought it was weird or wrong when I first started but now I can see why people would think that. Nonetheless, I love it reply
I was shipping the male characters of Escaflowne as a teen, started researching it and fell right into GW yaoi fics. First Yaoi/bl manga was Fake. Then of course Zetsuai and Kizuna. Seems like a lifetime ago. 2 reply

I think I was 13, and really you should already know what it was going to be like at that age unless you lived a really sheltered childhood (￣∇￣"). Or you live in a place where they don't teach you about this kind of stuff until you get older or something.

My older sister was the one who introduced me to yaoi when i was ~13. When I was a lot younger (8/9) I walked in on my sister watching Full Metal Alchemist and It scared the shit out of me, so it was a long time before I got into anime. I though was cute.
I mean, I always enjoyed when there was those 'bromances' with two male characteres and then I can remember Hikaru and Kaoru (Ouran Host Club) playing twincest and was fun, but I guess the more ejoyable story was with Loveless. That was the time when I said "Ok, this is really cute and I like" XD
