any of you guys have weeaboo friends?
i, fortunately, don't have such friends. if anything, i'm closely related to a weeaboo whom my friends will not like. i like to call myself a otaku. how about you guys? any weeaboo friends? and how do they act around you? how do you react to them?

I am often called "weeb trash" because of how much I like anime, manga, games, etc. But it's mostly used as a term of endearment among friends rather than a negative connotation. We'd act like weeaboos when we're bored We'd suddenly go all like, "kawaii desu ne" and just make a convo with high-pitched voices. Even my guy friend would go all: "yamatte senpai~"

I do TBH, that try-hard japanese is funny to the point of embarrassing but me and our other friends are used to her. We just tease her or act like we're embarassed of her when she does that in public but nothing serious. We're close so we tell her that it's embarrassing when it gets out of hand. a// i'm japanese and i hav a couple weaboo/anime otaku friends & tbh it's a bit cringy, for example one friend the first thing he ever told me was "oppai" & "ochinchin" I was like wtf. yo. r u serious. get out of here.

I think I must have had such friends at some point, being part of an association about asian culture and all, but it didn't really bother me at that time... We grew geographically distant and now I don't have much contact with them. I'm sure (I hope) they grew out of it and if we happen to meet again I hope we could have a good laugh reminiscing. I hate weaboos/koreaboos and I don't like cosplaying/cosplayers too. I feel like no one does justice to the character they're playing n the meaning of the characters itself disappears for me. And yes I've seen many of them around me but I never have been friends with one nor has it ever spark my interest.

A while back(like years) I made a friend who liked anime, she became my closest friend and I practically left every "normal" friend I had. I had a few more otaku friends and a few koreaboo friends. But when I started college, anime wasn't enough to keep us all together, I learned how different we all were. There was nothing else in common... Slowl...... reply
My friend is a weeaboo. She's really annoying too. She uses japanese words in normal sentences "Hentai," "Kawaii," etc. It gets on my nerves but I don't say anything. She's also always trying to do cliche manga things by talking about boobs, clinging to me, and talking very openly about things better left unknown. 2 reply
