Does this make sense or should I go back to bed
Ok so I was hanging out with a friend of mine and she starts talking about how the way people perceive you is the way you truly are. I can’t really remember most of the conversation but she made a point about how if a killer thinks they are a good person but everyone else thinks they are a bad person then they are a bad person so if someone thinks that they look pretty but everyone else thinks that they look ugly then they are ugly. At first I thought it was stupid because she didn’t make sense and plus she was smoking so I couldn’t really take anything she was saying seriously but it’s like 3 am rn and I can’t stop thinking about this. Does she have a point or is it lack of sleep that’s making me think this way?
i don’t think I have enough brain cells to understand. Bc different ppl perceive you in different ways, but what do ik I have about 40 missing assignments. 1 reply
I don’t think she does. Every thing is perceptions. No one is good. No one is ugly. Those are just labels we give based on how we feel. There is no absolute good and if there was it wouldn’t be decided by other people. 1 reply
wait if you think your smart but everyone says your dumb and you have 12 missing assignments ......... dose that mean i am really dumb........ shit man now u got me messed up 1 reply
ahaahhh I can't never get my indecisive shit together uhh
Things go with different people differently-
She has a bit of a point but at this point of the day my mind is usually rotten so I can't even think about this much ahhh reply
I could see where she’s coming for, but I think that’s bullshit. For example, let’s use the infamous Ted Bundy. He was heinous killer, but people thought he was a good guy. Even once he got caught for his crimes, there were a decent portion of people who believed Ted Bundy was actually a good guy who was simply misunderstood.
So was Ted Bun...... reply
It's probably not so clear cut as she makes it. It really depends on the situation and the context. Here's a counter-example: if you like spicy food and found a spicy dish to be very tasty, and everybody else around you hate spicy food and found the same dish not to their taste, does that suddenly make the dish tastes bad to you? Of course not. Ano...... reply
