Crazy as it may seem, my friends don't seem to enjoy talking about anime and manga all the time. Sometimes it can be tough to have conversations with them about how my weekend went when I know all I did was read manga. They tend to get exhausted with me. I've attempted to get them into it, but it doesn't work and the only friend I have that also likes it doesn't usually get into the same stories that I do. What would you all do in a situation like this?
i would let them be . . . people just have different taste so you should probably stop trying to make them into it 'cause they'll think you're annoying . . . as long as they respect the things you like, then it's fine

I am often in the same situation, and I think you should just ask them about the things they like. Even if it's not manga, maybe you'll be able to bond over other things too. As long as they don't judge you for liking manga that's okay ! And if you want to talk about manga/anime there's always the internet. Though I know it's not the same unfortuna...... reply

If your current friends aren't into it, maybe you could find online friends that love the same stories? You could probably find a website, or a chat, about your favorites anime and manga? (And if you can't find it, maybe you can create it? :D I did it once, it didn't really work, but it was pretty fun to do anyway!)

Make some online friends, definitely gonna second that suggestion. There are several forums you can join, you can message people on here, there are tons of ways to make friends with the same interests online. I have two online friends and if I get excited about yaoi I can just rave about it in our skype group, and they can always just ignore my ram...... reply
I feel you, whenever I'm on this situation, since I have like 8 or 9 friends and one best friend when they don't want to talk about any manga or anime I just go on my phone and start reading or I either start texting my best friend about some stuff which the others does not know even though she's talking to them she always text back so I'm grateful...... reply
My friends are quite accepting and sometimes they refer to me for good anime and manga. I'm their source. But I was really mad when some people on the internet said that anime is porn. I mean, what the hell! They don't even watch anime and they assumed with prejudice. 3 reply
Maybe branch out a little bit and try to find friends who are interested?
Or kind of find something you really find amazing and talk it up and get them to get hyped about it too that's what i do sometimes?

join a group of other anime/manga lovers! I also had this problem but then someone opened an anime club at my school and those people are my best friends!

I'M IN THIS SITUATION AND I HATE IT VERY MUCH!!
Okay so I have this friend who "likes" yaoi but goes waaaaayyyy into the specific parts of it like she only likes one ship from Haikyu, and I mean Haikyu is her life and she wont allow me to talk about anything else and if i do she'd get mad?? at me.
