Yes, it is a way of being courteous to other people. You don't know if someone already knows the story, what if they're looking at the comments to see if the series is dropped and end up being spoiled? It's really rude.

i wanted to genuinely wanted to know what people thought about because a lot times ive seen people complaining about not putting spoilers in only to have others readers to respond with "well dont read the comments" or something along the lines. reply
