Last year an artist friend that I just met at the time drew a really cute drawing of my two years ago OTP (hijack) I found the drawing so precious and was pretty excited. When she said she drew it for a friend I was like " woh that friend is so lucky. I would be so happy if it was me " Well guess what ? It was actually for me. She gave it to me when we met for the first time at japan expo ( a french convention for otaku) and I was so so happy (and so surprised, like, woh ) That girl is adorable. I couldn't help but want to hug her all day after that XD
But yeah, in my field you often draw stuff for other or they draw stuff for you, and maybe it has a little narcissist twist to it but it always makes me so glad when someone draw something for me I'm sure it's the same for everyone ^v^
