shoma shoma 2021-01-09 10:15:14 About y'all opinion about incest
I found its really disgusting i mean why it's even a thing.. reading things like having sex.. with their own siblings?? And loving them romantically it doesn't make sense..

In real life: ew.
Though there are cases of it, like when siblings don't grow up together or even didn't know the other sibling existed and they fall in love anyway, that I can kinda give a pass. I mean, definitely not my cup of tea, but I can see where feelings might develop. But 98% of the time that's a hard no. One of them, if not both, is probably mentally ill. Adult on child is especially heinous. Real life creepy uncles can go cut off their balls and jump in a lake with some cement shoes tied on tight.

In fiction.... It can be done well as a story trope or as historical context, (The Egyptian pharohs often married their sisters/aunt/cousins in real life for example) but often isn't. Which actually makes it easier to read IMHO.

Especially in short graphic novel form, when there's no context of them being actually siblings/related beyond how they call each other or any other seemingly deep familiar ties. Mentally, it's very easy to just ignore the incest bit and just get on with the snu snu. Its just two more fictional characters bumping uglies.

When it is done well and realistically portrayed, with actual social/physical consequences and well developed characters and back story, those ones are a little harder to read, but can sometimes be just as fascinating. I still really can't stand adult on child though. Nope. No. Shotacons and Lolicons, especially incestuous ones, can join the real life creepy uncles in the lake.

Just like how going to a horror movie doesn't actually mean you want to chase down teenagers with a chain saw, exploring stories of incest through fiction can be enjoyable in the right context.
