Does anyone else have art style pet-peeves?
I’ll go first
- I’m not a big fan of overly huge eyes for the uke - When the bodies look too stiff ? esp during the smut.. - When the seme’s shoulders are way too wide.. we get it, he’s the seme - Similar to how their necks are too thick... again, we get it... he’s the seme
Well, usually, I would just look for a good story plot, and ok art style. But now, I hate when the uke is so twigish, like they look like a friggin stick compared to the seme. I hate.when the head is so small compared to the huge body. reply
Ya’ll are going for low hanging fruit! Something that usually puts me off is overly exaggerated Bara. Not the type that has an averagely muscular couple, but the ballon tiddy extra puffy ones. It feels so over the top and artificial. The only authors whose Bara I’ve enjoyed (so far, fingers crossed) are...

-When the ukes nipples are all the way up to the shoulder
-When the sex kinda looks uncomfortable
-When they draw the FMC´s eyes to big
-When the necks are way to thin or the wrist´s(the look like the might snap)
-When the chests are too undetailed

If you haven't noticed this yet now you won't be able to unsee it. I hate it when an artist will put a black dot for the inner ear. Why not make it darker flesh toned like it actually looks? You can't see into the depths of someone's inner ear. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head but once you see it you SEE it. It's so weird to see...... reply
Hmm, I've never given it much thought but I'm not really a fan of super childish-looking bottoms? It really puts me off whenever they do the do because it looks like they're doing it with a minor. It's kinda a red flag for me so i usually drop manga/manhwas that have those kind of art styles. reply
Well I'm quite comfortable for pretty much every artstyles tho
tbh the large eyes and glossy lips of ukes & large shoulder, triangle heads for semes looks entertaining to me lol
I only avoid plot that is too cliche or personally detest the characters
my only pet peeves is my past artstyle, probably from my pre-teen period ╮(￣▽￣)╭ reply
