A little tip is to obviously be very consistent, I speak both and I can tell you that they are pretty similar in some ways, they both use kanji and some words are kind of the same.
Another tip, is to learn a lot of grammar a lot.
Korean has a tricky pronunciation, but as you have seen is pretty easy to read.

I'd rather focus on japanese since it's harder. Korean is pretty easy and you can learn it just by watching naturally(kpop,kdrama,etc.) I was actually shocked at how I have been watching anime for 6 years and only know the language 30% while I started watching korean for a nifty 4 years only and manage to grasp its language and writing system a lot...... reply
as a person who's interested in korean things like k-pop, korean dramas, food, and other things korean. i am currently learning both korean and japanese, but i will say korean is fairly easy to learn once you get the hang of it. reply
I wanna learn both, however it would be extremely difficult to learn both. It's not easy to learn either languages as the japanese language has even different writing styles, like Katakana (based off the Chinese letter characters), Hiragana (standard japanese writing style), and Romaji(uses normal alphabets).

Personally i would be prefer to learn korean over japanese. I do like japanese but i favour learning korean more as i like k-pop and korean dramas more than j-pop and anime and i've been spending most of my time on korean related stuff rather than japanese so i think it is really up to personal preferances if you ask me. reply
