I am suffering from depression too. I never told anyone even my own parents. I'm too afraid to tell anyone especially my mom. She told me once that most depressed people are pathetic so it really hit me deep. I often think I should just vanish in the face of the earth for good. I'm useless. 2 reply

Feeling alone out there with your mental troubles can be one of the most infuriating and lonely emotions, really. There are more people than we think who have mental issues, but most people are ashamed of it and many also haven't been diagnosed, so they feel they don't have "the right" to claim that they're depressed etc.
