Finding the title

Does anyone know the title of the thing i read back then cause i forgot what the title was basically its about a guy who is a robot i think and he is made to be a house caretaker but he actually wanna be a love doll and i think when he was being inspected they found something wrong with him so they made him live for a while with one of the employees
