My lovely Province

zzer0h zzer0h 2016-07-16 23:53:52 About learn foreign languages
In my lovely province the official language is french. we are one of the only french provinces in canada. Unfortunately my first language is english. so as soon as i started school at 5 years old french was shoved down my throat. I lived thinking i would be able to survive just knowing english. but as i grew and my area because more french i quickly learned french is a must to get a job here. i barely passed my french high school exam and somehow ended up in "advanced" french in high school. but here i am a 24 year old in french school busting my butt off learning french so i can find a job to survive. i wish i could choose which language i could have learned but i am having enough trouble with 2. i would love to learn japanese and korean though

I get that =( It's easier to learn something when there is that spark of passion or whatever =/

Maybe try finding a really good French tv show to get into? It works with anime =P

i think it is because i have no choice that it is so tough lol maybe if it was something i wanted to do it would be easier and better but it is not. it is a very hard ;language all words have to be either feminine and masculine and there are like 50 verbes all with stupid exceptions. maybe i am bitter because instead of enjoying my summer i am trapped 8 hours with an incompetent teacher LOL

I'm Canadian too (but I'm currently living in America)! Since French is one of Canada's official languages, it inspired me to learn French as my language in high school, because I plan on moving back to Canada someday. I'd also love to be able to know Japanese and Korean, however I'm still in the very early stages in learning them (starting with Korean because it looks easier).
I wish you luck in learning French. I know that you will soon be excellent at it!

That's rough bro =(

I do want to learn French as well, because here in Canada it's the most practical.
But I alas! I don't have the discipline (/TДT)/
