What are some genres/tropes that you heavily dislike reading?
Personally, I find omegaverse plots really unappealing. I think it stems from normalized rape scenes and sexual harrassment scenes.. Also the top usually being a total asshole and ruse asf, as well as the bottom sometimes looking like a whole ass CHILD??? or they have this personality that's really irritating in a way? They can't think for themselves, rely too much on the trashy rudeass top, and just overall not a very interesting or intriguing character at all.
I also really heavily dislike readings with incest, which.. I don't think I have to explain that one. I usually don't read doujinshis with characters under 18 because I know there's going to be smut.. I find it really uncomfy how 14–16 year old anime characters are sexualized and included in smut scenes, especially if the artist/author is way older than 18. Idk! just my opinion! I'm under the age of 18 so I guess it's understandable why I feel this way?????
What are some stories tropes/genres/plots that you guys avoid or dislike? I'm totally open to recommendations too so if you want to share your favorite readings here, don't hesitate! Please remember that this is a DISCUSSION so all opinions are welcome.

I accept every opinion, but what do everyone have against Bara? Bara is NOT for straight womens, unlike many other BLs, it is aimed at really gay men and mostly written by them, who try to actually live a gay life rather than showing the classic uke-seme picture, it is not meant for you so you shouldn't judge it either. 3 reply

- Romance where there are no romantic connection between them.

Okay, this might be really specific. But I hate when they write yaoi in a way that seem like the uke was originally written as a sterotypical female, and then just last minute changed it to a male. Like you know how naive they have women act in most romance manga, I read some yaoi to get away from that. So I just hate when they make the uke the sam...... reply
