Digital blackface
I’m not black so I don’t want to speak over black people’s voices but what do y’all think about digital blackface, I see this often in mangago and I feel uncomfortable towards it Here are websites that sum up what digital black face is and why it’s problematic:

Guys- I didn’t call anyone racist or tell them to stop using memes or gifs of black people I literally just wanted to give awareness how this can negatively affect some black people because people that already have racial prejudice will use these mainstream depictions of black people and run with it... that’s why I asked specifically black peop...... 3 reply

Alright I'm asian, not black, so please correct me if I'm wrong because I really do not want to appear racist and ignorant. I don't think people should automatically be labeled as someone pretending to be black just because they used a meme that inlcuded a black person to express their emotions.
