When I'm using "I-" it's more of disbelief or confusion so I cannot continue my sentance, same with "wha-" and "um-". Sorry you find it offensive, but it's really not something you should be able to dictate, even as a stutterer reply

saying "i-" or "wha-" is used in the sence of someone being in
a weird or awkward situation. and this is coming from a person
who used to have a stutter, and as a person who used to have
a stutter, i will keep saying "i-" , "wha-" , "um-" ect.

most ppl arent doing it to mock stutterers imo . its more for portraying stuff like shyness or disbelief imo
