I figured out I wasn't straight when I was 13, but I finally accepted it after I turned 18. Between that time frame I went though a lot so self homophobia. I'm 19 now and I wanna come out to my friends but I don't know if its too soon. I'm pretty sure i'm pan but the label just feels weird. I've never really dated anyone but I've had crushes before, but that's not enough for me to figure it out! I live in a really catholic oriented place that is full of old-school people who don't really like the idea of a homosexual. What should I do? Any Advice? How did you or some one you know go about it?
What I did was send them a link to an article about lgbtq+ and ask them for their opinions on it. I then told them a month later depending on their response. reply
Try dropping hints to them like asking them about their opinions on queer related stuff. You dont have to rush coming out tho its perfectly fine if you take your time, especially when your still not sure what to label yourself as. I feel like we are in the same country because of how you describe catholic oriented place.
Anyways, I first came out to my friend through chat, I was afraid but also relieved that she was the first one whom I open out because she was reading BL and I know she would be open minded towards this stuff.
