where you forced in a religion that your mom and dad has?
i just want to know if im experiencing the same as everybody.
i dont believe in god, and my parents keeps forcing me to believe in their beliefs. i just want to live a life where im not force to do anything just because this and that is a must. they kept forcing me to pray, and im scared rn on what they might do to me if keep on disobeying. is it really that hard to live freely? ppl just want to live why do we need to struggle so much?
im not yet in a legal age to runaway to do something, due to my fear on my parents. and if i did im sure i'll end up nothing. my mom's family is way to religious, im not joking if i tell yall that my uncle and grandpa killed somebody that pissed them off, ofc they faced the consequences of it. but if they were to learn what i am thinking, im good as dead. while my father have the tendency to be abusive he've done it many times.

yea i was raised christian, and was so brainwashed into it, it was honestly embarrassing the things i did for that religion. anyways, now im atheist, and my mom doesn't gaf cause she's tried to force me, but it just doesn't work anymore reply
I grew up in a super religious household until I was 12 and then my parents just got super chilled out about it and said that since I’m competent I can make my own decisions in life but I know they would prefer for me to stay religious. Yeah, I don’t really believe in god because the Bible has some parts of it that I personally find questionable, but I knew I was being forced when my parents said they’d look down on me and laugh at me in hell if I don’t believe in god when I was like 6. Honestly, parent's shouldn't force their kid to believe in what they do. I'm Muslim and so are my parents but they've never forced me to pray or do anything much. I do fast during Ramadan but that's about it and it's more like they slowly eased me and my sister into the religion and besides we were raised in a Muslim country so we grew up with the ...... reply
Stay strong, dear. And I suggest NOT to RUN AWAY. It will make your relationship worse and give them a reason to restrict you or interfere in your life. For now just follow along with the religious practices... you don’t have to believe them. Don’t contradict them when they express their views, just ignore it.
