biggest pet peeves in historical manhwas?
Just some things that you don't like when reading a historical manhwa/Ga/hua
I'm gonna start : In manhwas where the Mc reincarnated as the villainess/ an extra (anything, but the FL of the novel), I really hate it when they say shit like "he can't like me" "he's meant to be with the FL". I get where they're coming from, but it's lowkey disrespectful to the ML. He likes her and all (he confessed, show her how much he appreciates her etc) and she just invalidate his emotions "because it's not meant to be". Unless that's the setting of the story (like she can't change her fate), I find that so annoying.
when the FL goes "oh i have to move this story's plot so that ML can end up with the MC" or "ah, theyre all just characters in a novel" or even better, they resign themselves to changing their fate but then get confused when the plot is changing reply
This is not a pet peeve but it's just that the fl is always hella pretty and gorgeous OR she transforms herself and stuff I want an ugly fl i can relate to I WANT A CHUBBY FL THAT DOESNT CHANGE HERSELF FOR ANYONE AND IS BOSSASS BITCH PLEASE JUST ONCE THATS ALL I WANT A FL THAT IS INSECURE ABOUT HER LOOKS BUT ONE WHO LOVES HERSELF FOR WHO SHE IS reply
Not entirely with the manga but the readers who enjoy this genre. They expect EVERY SINGLE FL/MC to be op asf and then get mad when they're not or get pissed off when the mc/fl is super op asf & then they start crying about how unrealistic it is. Like, pick a fucking struggle babe. You don't like it then don't read it, stop criticizing the work.

this isn't really reading it, more to the readers. i hate when people don't understand, a lot of the things that are in the manhua/wha/ga etc, are used from REAL LIFE HISTORY. i HATE it when a shit ton of people read historical, and can't go a moment without seeing chinese, korean, japanese culture, and immediately comparing it a certain story, not...... reply
same sentiments. another thing is that when everybody just falls in love with the FL and the og FL would be evil. I mean. Can't we have a different story? reply
Where the transmigration was very unnecessary. Especially when they transferred to a body that isn't theirs, it's like indirectly saying that the originals aren't good and can't change their fates so they find an ordinary person or a person who is great at something and people take notice of it. Sad truly... plus some of the intellegent but oblivio...... reply
