people who hide their like for manga / anime

when i was in 4th grade i told one of my classmates who i was close to that i liked anime unfortunately she had the voice like a train so nearly everyone knew and the next day someone came up to me and said something about me liking anime and i dont exactly remember but it was something bad so ive been internalizing that   reply

I don’t but I completely understand ppl that hide it. anime can be pretty weird and quite a bit of people have seen the strange parts of it. I mean some ppl that watch anime call themselves degenerates for a reason. Let’s not forget the “otakus/weaboos”   reply

I don't hide it but I don't talk about it in public because the general opinion is that manga is either for kids or losers/weirdos. When you are an adult is hard to become respected, you have to think about your public image and shit, but my closest people know I am otaku/weeb since childhood   reply
