straight A students, HOW THE F*CK—
Bruh, so there I was all happy that I raised all my D’s and F’s up to B’s and only 1 C, and then I here an acquaintance of mine complaining that they had a terrible grade in math. I was curious cuz math is the only non free choice class (electives) that I had an A in, so I asked what the damage was. THEY WERE SAD AND DISCOURAGED ABOUT A B+, but like concerning-ly sad.
SO NOW I AM HERE TO TELL YOU STRAIGHT A STUDENTS OUT THERE A B+ WON’T HURT YOU ITS OKAY TRUST ME, KEEP ON SUCCEEDING, but like please chill ( ̄∇ ̄")
Too my fellow people with eh grades (grades ≠ your value as a human being or how successful you’ll be in the future :p)
Its me, Im a straight A student. The reason we get so upset (maybe its just me.) Is because I have such high expectations for myself so if I get a grade lower than A Ill feel really pathetic and as though all the time I put into studying was for nothing. I feel pressured since i've always been a straight A student so it feels really weird and makes...... 4 reply

I actually don't blame your friend for freaking out. Sometimes we straight students deal with a lot of pressure sometimes from our parents or family and sometimes from our school. When you have straight A's in every subject people expect you to be perfect. I always got a 100 on my social studies test and my S.S teacher was like "if it's you, I know...... 2 reply
It's all about expectations, if you're a straight A student and got a grade lower than that, they're gonna ask you "What's wrong? I thought you're smart?" which is bullshit. One time i got a low score than usual in one of our test and our teacher asked me why i got such a low score and i said, "Not all the times i have to be perfect Ma'am, i make m...... 1 reply
I’m pressured into getting A’s, my family and I aren’t as privileged as other people. I’m first generation immigrant and a PoC, they just want me to have a better life than they did which I understand. If I fail school or get shitty grades, my parents won’t have the money to support me in the future, so yeah. reply
i dont have straight A's, never did, but they have high standards for themselves, like imagine being used to something and then it all of a sudden just drops down? even i get upset when my b drops into a c reply
parents, pressure, yelling, shaming, threatening, crying. Theres just so much that comes from a straight A student. My parents had high expectations for me since Elementary school since I was a straight A all throughout but I got a B+ on a test ONCE and my mom said if I got a B on a test one more time she was going to lock herself in her room for a...... 1 reply
