my lover keeps lying to me
about not having a type. i dont even know why. all the guys they fan over are all similar (badass, edgy in some way) and its extremely obvious that thats their type because thats all they like and its also subtly obvious that they like me best when i also appear badass and v masculine.
yet they always say they dont have a type no matter what. i’m p sure its partly because they like to say that they never had a type before meeting me but thats untrue because this was their type before i ever did a face reveal (we’re in an online rs) but i don’t believe thats the whole reason. idek why im posting this here but it just feels weird to me so i havw to get it off my chest.
It's possible they're not lying and just don't realize they have a type. For example, my friend's super into long haired pretty boys. Whenever I'd show her a cast of characters from an anime or game or whatever, she'd point to the long-haired guy and say she likes them best. Umm tbh I don't see how this affects you in anyway. It's like someone who says " I hate eating vegetables" but you always see them eating vegetables, it's pretty harmless but that's just my pov. At the end of the day their still dating you and I'm assuming the treat you well so what's the issue? 2 reply
maybe theyre embarrassed? maybe theyre in denial about it? its a pretty trivial thing tho, and doesnt really affect you from what youve said.
if you dont want to appear "badass and masculine" all the time, thats fine! theyre still dating you, right? then it doesnt matter enough to affect you right now. just let it be, my guy.

He wants to make u feel special. To say that u belong to some type means that he compares you to his previous experiences and he classifies you as one of the others suitable for him. Most of women wouldn't like it, so he s a smart boy. Even if you didnt appreciate his lies most of women would reply
If it bothers you, talk it through with them. Communication can solve almost any issue. But also take note, that not everyone has a type, and liking one sort of character doesn't automatically mean it's your type in real life relationships. For example, I really like badass characters when reading/watching things, but it's not my type in real life....... 1 reply
