Does having multiple wives makes a man attractive?

I have started reading again action-adventure manhwas lately, and it made me think why there is a lot of women involve in the MCs in this genre.

I know a lot of chinese manhuas really tend to have harem romance as a subplot, I read a lot of them years ago, that's why I shifted to korean manhwas, thinking that there won't really be annoying women there, but what surprised me, (not all) but there are a lot of of manhwas that MC's end game actually have 2 wives. I won't give examples since it may be a major spoiler for some readers who don't like spoilers.

It just made me sad since I became engrossed in a series then suddenly there will be a lot of potential FL appearing. I'm a reader who is fine with spoilers so I often check who will be the end game be, but what often surpirse me is that a lot MCs ends up with having 2 or more wives. It really discourages me on continuing on reading the series. There are a lot of gems that really does discourages me, no hate with romance as long as the FL is not annoying or a damsel in distress, but multiple end game FLs really bothers me, like can't you just have 1 wife, why do you even need so many. I think it's a difference in belief but it really does discourages me on continuing on reading a series even if its a gem.

Harem is really not my thing but I still respect those who likes it. No hate with it, it just bothers me so much, as someone who grows up in a monogamous environment.
