i could be talking about how i hung out with my mom and had fun and someone would trauma dump like, "oh, at least your mom loves you" or something along the lines and like, HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THAT?? yes, i feel guilty. yes, i want to comfort them but i honestly feel so uncomfortable like let me talk about my day without feeling guilty or uncomfortable
fr don't you hate it when you're getting excited and hyped up for this thing then you shared it cuz yer happy and all only to end up them saying around the line of 'atleast..' smth like that. it's really selfish for them to trauma dump like that. better place distance away from them cuz that'd really drain you in the long run :| reply
I no longer entertain unwarranted trauma dumps lmaoo and idc if it makes me look like an ass. i just look at them awkwardly and make no comment and continue with my day let them stew in that lol

Usually I say some smart ass response like "yeah she loves me to pieces. Why, does your mom not love you?" Bc my friends makes jokes like that and we joke abt her deadbeat mom all the time reply
