People would only have a problem if its gay ships
Just noticed the only reason I could hear why MHA fandom is so toxic is "cause of the gay ships" or whenever a fandom ships a gay ship they'll say "oh no its about to be mha", but if all the ships were STRAIGHT no one would have problem, legal or not. The fandom is automatically not toxic.
But when GAY SHIPS are involved its somehow a toxic fandom? And they're all suddenly "oh its not canon", "ew disgusting", "bruh it's just friendship", etc.
For example Kota x Eri who are both children and are shipped together even though they didn't even met, no one has a problem. But Gon x Killua, who are also children, suddenly everyone Is saying "They're CHILDREN", "it's friendship".
What are yall thoughts about this?
Ps: I don't have a problem with any ships as long they're legal and fine.
Omg yes! Like yeah, some people take it too far and assume your homophobic just because you don't ship gay ships, some people fetishize, y'know some people are shitty...but a lot of people hate on gay ships exclusively like its so fucking obvious they only give a shit because its gay. I only ever see this amount of hate for gay ships. reply
All ships are disgusting and annoying and people usually take gay ships too far that’s why they’re so hated more than straight ships because fujos don’t know to control themselves. We know damn well gay men or gay women didn’t create those ships because if they did they would be wholesome but they’re not and whoever ships children togethe...... reply
UM, If I'm being honest I couldn't care less, it just went to far when people were THREATENING the creator of MHA to make these ships Canon. I personally hate romance in an action anime, especially when it's forced or out of place. Also, I knew nothing about ErixKota I think it makes no sense (they don't know eachother at all??? I feel like the only reason why people call the mha fandom toxic isn't because the ships are gay it's because the shippers are toxic. Obviously the fandom as whole isn't bad, just the few bad ones earning a bad rep for the rest of the fandom. Most of the notoriety comes from abusive ships like bakugo x deku or downright illegal ships like allmight ...... reply
We can't be having double standards in the fandom. Straight is not the default. So if people are saying that it's "wrong" to ship a character w the same gender then it's also wrong to assume that said character's sexuality is straight and ship them w another character of the opposite gender. Also, if the same-sex MHA ships offend you bc they are cH...... reply
Here's a rational. Maybe it's cuz the characters are assumed straight? so a straight ship makes more sense than a gay ship, legal or not. If the characters were assumed gay, and they were put in a straight ship, then I'm sure people would have the same issues too(?) 2 reply
No, fr cuz its just homophobia, that’s the only thing I can think of, these are fictional characters, so putting them in any pairing has no bearing your life, so if putting them in a homosexual relationship ruins the fandom, then that’s whole heartedly a U problem reply
