being hanged, drawn, and quartered. this is actually an execution but it's still pretty fucked up and probably could be used as a method of torture (until death).
the "hanged" part is self-explanatory; the prisoner was hanged by the neck, only to be cut down once in a state of near-death. then the real nasty stuff began.
