Fiction and reality discourse
What is your take on fiction equals reality discourse? Do you agree or not agree.
For you who agree, does it apply as well to other type of fiction (e.g., horror/gore/violent type of media), and what's your take on violent video games cause violence?
For you who disagree, what makes you disagree, and what's your take on fictional censorship?
Let's discuss, I am genuinely wanted to know both side of the story. Most of the discourse about this topic heavily centered around fictional porn, and I wonder about how does it apply to other type of fictional media
I agree with the mentality that "it's just fiction" when it comes to violent video games or movies where a lot of people were claiming that their kids would get influenced by the violence they consumed and turn into serial killers just because they played Fortnite.

Cuz if people should do whatever they want and read whatever they want just cuz its fictional, why do u disagree with people watching animated cp, incest etc? I mean, isn't it just fictional?? People should do what they want, right?.....exactly this whole "fiction...... 1 reply
I agree. I say this because (excluding porn) when people, of all ages and audiences, are usually easily influenced. Like for children it's usually something like fantasy or action, like h20 just add water. For adults it's usually stuff like the basketball or football, or something like greys anatomy. What the media does is they make certain shows an...... reply
i think there's 'some' influence fiction has on reality. mainly normalizing things. not necessarily that someone will go out to commit crimes. normalizing that factor of disgust, fear, etc will likely affect how one reacts to the real thing. reply
