Interesting as I recently replied to a comment along those lines. I have begun to notice that the adult only warning is not simply because there is nudity and sex in these manga, but because younger readers seem to struggle more to cognitively differentiate between fiction and reality. They are genuinely upset over issues of pedophilia, rape and i......   2 reply

I agree with the mentality that "it's just fiction" when it comes to violent video games or movies where a lot of people were claiming that their kids would get influenced by the violence they consumed and turn into serial killers just because they played Fortnite. That being said there is a serious discussion to be made about pedophilia and rape ......   1 reply

What the media does is they make certain shows an......   reply

i think there's 'some' influence fiction has on reality. mainly normalizing things. not necessarily that someone will go out to commit crimes. normalizing that factor of disgust, fear, etc will likely affect how one reacts to the real thing.   reply

i think its more about fiction affecting the person exposed to it, not necessarily the reality. thats why i actually dont agree with fictional censorship in general, because first of all, the genre itself isn't harmful. it's just a form of art, something invented by the imagination and imagination or thoughts dont harm others, actions do. banning a......   1 reply

I disagree. Fiction doesn't equal reality. The characters are just puppets manipulated according to the author's will no matter how real they seem. I hope those that read violent or sexual content enjoys the content but knows that in fiction, the author's will is what you see but in real life, there's no such thing. I hope that those that read ......   reply
