Okay a change of mood here and pet question

My German shepherd is currently pregnant. Her owner was an old man who was sick and elderly and couldn't take care of her and her partner. She was given to us pregnant along with her male companion. Her companion died a week ago though(I cried so much).

I dont know how far along she is and I am so worried?
Do you guys know how many pups they usually give birth too? Will she become over protective and aggressive??

She is literally the sweetest dog ever and always run towards me for me to pet her and love her even though I was a stranger.

What should I do if she rejects one of her pups? Vets are inaccessible and a luxury from where I am from. I keep watching so many dogs videos and research and it got me even more worried
