You trust dem ratings?
I swear people using this site can rate the most perfect rating to a story to any genre eXCEPT yaoi or shounen ai. I've found the best straight romance and action mangas/hwas by just reading those that are rated 9.4+ but you're telling me a problematic yaoi story is rated the same as Renchin or maybe Love Of Cloud And Rain just to give an example...idk, wanna ask y'all if you trust what the people rate these stories esp to your fave or disliked mangas and if they should be rated higher or lower

I don't look at stars unless i wanna see if my rating is shared. Ppl only rate gay stories high, da seen ppl say they're rating sth lower bc its straight. Or ppl drop their rating bc of one chapter. I have a list where i rate smut lol. I rate it by FL, ML, Smut,Consent, Art, and Plot. I rate each category out of 10 and the average is my rating to t...... reply
Generally yes bc I’m a bitch with no taste and 95% of users on this site are the same. If it’s below 8 I am v sceptical of its art/plot/consent/contents. I p much don’t touch anything with 7 or less. If mangagos yaoi fan base think it’s not good it’s probably fucked up for normal people.

I have never really referred to the ratings to determine whether or not I should start reading something, I usually just gravitate towards checking the art or the genre/basic gist of the story(the trope in some cases)…And I don't really rate most stories either...
Though I will say as I enjoy bittersweet oneshots/stories, On more than one instan...... reply
I personally never even look at ratings i just dive in and see how i like it w/o any info on it but a single cool scene lol and maybe then i check the ratings cuz i dont want any opinions that would shape my expectations reply
Sometimes I do believe in the ratings. There are stories that has a high rating as they deserve but there's also stories that was rated high even though personally it's nothing or less at all.
