I actually went on an exchange program in Canada in 10th grade but it was with a group of other students so I wasn’t really solo.
Last year I decided to volunteer in Japan for a year and while we actually were a group of volunteers we still went pretty solo. Then I flew from Japan to korea for 10 days completely on my own and right before I went back home to Germany I spent 3 weeks hitchhiking through japan all on my own. That was one of the best times in my life
