Are people still overreacting to fictional stories and making a huge conflict about it?
Things have been bugging me really, I'm really an open minded person so I don't really actually care about the things you like. Like if you like Shota or Loli or some I guess that's okay IF they are fictional I don't tolerate people liking children (romantically) in real life despite being an adult. But still, there are a lot of who are problematic people, about fiction stories making a big deal about how the story goes like they are making a heavy argument about certain stories about rape or something, and some comics that had been already tagged about psychology and rape and many more. But they are STILL commenting on how WRONG it is and how it should be like that which is been bugging me since they don't really read the description or tags about what is written on there, yet even if they read it they proceed to throw shitty remarks about HOW "Traumatizing" it is or some shit. Furthermore, they prioritize fiction over reality, like fiction is a work of your imagination you can do creative whatever you like since it's kind of hypocritical how people's minds fiction than the reality of what we have been experiencing over now, it's really weird and funny, to be honest, but they are wasting their time about a problematic comic like they read and complained how they don't like it. You should focus on reality instead of a comic book you know, wasting your time in arguments over fiction yet proceed to read it. Well I think that's all I just wanna express the things I want to say.(〜￣△￣)〜
You do know these fictional stories feed people's fantasies... For example, Loli and Shota, most child predators irl consume such media or books. So people like you saying it's no issue are enablers. I used to think the same way. just let them be; we actually need those people; they are a sort of reminder. we have kids here who may start thinking that an older person can romantically like someone who is a minor or child in real life. reply
It would be weirder if no one complained. And no, no one can convince me that they don't tolerate pedophilia in real life when they enjoy pedophilic materials at the same time. It's not overreacting. It's simply just calling out something that is wrong. It's not making a big deal about 'fictional stories', it's about your morals and values as a person. There are certain things you should not cross and tolerate.

Have you heard of Lolita by Vladamir Nabokov? Some anime experts think that the term loli originated from that book even though Lolita itself is Spanish, not Japanese and was the nickname the "protagonist" called his victim

Red flags such as rape or pedophilia were never okay, fictional or reality. Voicing it out on comment section is just to remind everyone it will never be okay as people tend to romanticize such things. Focusing on reality is what those people are doing as they know people iften times have a thin line between reality and fiction.
