Everytime I read a manhua, the ml always treat the protagonist as shit, and then they go back together, is it some kind of acceptable behaviour in China/Taiwan or sumn? It's so weird to read manhua because of this.

Its actually based in reality sadly, it takes victims on average 7 attempts to finally leave their abusers, often times they dont try to leave at all with the hope that their abuser will eventually change. i like to call it the 'i can fix him trope' lol and it's seen everywhere. but yea idk why people have such a fascination with the kind of stories where someone is completely broken and that causes their shit personality and then through perseverance and love they come out a changed person at the end. even irl ive had friends in shit relationships...... reply

For me it's the art tho. The expressions on the characters' faces are such a turn off and so many manhuas had the colour pallet(?) too bright. I can't say much for the story because I have read so many good cn novels reply
