I know I shouldn't be asking this here but this I the only anonymous place I can think of rn
so like a really close friends of mine committed suicide a few days ago, thankfully nothing extreme happening and he survived, but now everyone is blaming him for it , every single of him friends, Toda they told him to fick off and all and started to blame him for everything (she was one of his close friends) , he's really kind and never hurt anyone ever in his life, hes helpful and would do anything for his friends and family, and todays incident hurt him a lot and he's mentally broken more than before, I honestly don't know how to help him, I'm talking to him and all but I'm still worried he'll do something, any suggestions as to how i can help him?
There's not much you can do if you are the only one giving any sort of support other than explaining that there is no reason to feel guilty and that the others are focusing on their own pain instead of his, because they are selfish and self-centered, and ask what happened that pushed him into making that choice, definitely try to look into therapy ...... 2 reply
like others said try to convince him to get help n jus be there for him to talk to /hang out with. dont push him tm or youll end up pushing him away. also please make sure you dont overextend urself and burn out. it can be emotionally draining n u r not his therapist u r his friend. kinda hard to remember sometimes n also u cant help someone who do...... 1 reply
omg I'm sorry for you. it must be hard for you too. Keep talking to him, if you can not be with him send messages. Sometimes a "good morning how are you today" is enough, to remind him he is important to you 1 reply
I dunno if i'll have any advice that's useful enough since me and my friend cope with jokes and just always talk about looking forward to what will happen into the future, but you don't need to push yourself nor him that hard, me and my bestie (the one i just talked about) have broken our friendship due to that as well (since she have a depression ...... reply
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and advice, he's okay rn, I'm with him and he looks a bit better than yesterday, I'm trying to help him talk things out(dw i didn't force him he wanted to talk) and help him focus on different things so he doesn't think about them, he's still a minor and in our country we cannot go to therapist without their ...... 1 reply
