but honestly an observation I've seen with how rape is written in stories.
yaoi + rape = meh
shounen ai + rape = actually scary
Yaoi just isnt serious sometimes. Like these mfs will have a rape scene then the next the character who got raped will be all chirpy like it never happened. Like wtf bro. Who wrote this.
This is why I LOVE Shounen Ai and also mangas in general cuz Idk how but mangakas really know how to make masterpieces (actual mangakas none of that coolmic shit) while most manhwa authors are just now catching up but still stuck in the 90s mangas trope where the seme is a rich mafia guy who rapes the uke and use him to relieve his weird ass sexual...... reply

Some people just actually don't know how terrifying it is and one reason is romanticizing that shit. Yaoi without rape are like so rare its almost as if its a plot device for sex scenes to happen rather than the issue it is. reply
