Overly moral policing bl content
I've been noticing these days there has been more attacks(?) on bl/gl content. Like I have lost count of how many people have debated on how bls are all shitty, generalizing bls to rape and fetish porn and just being lowkeyyyyy homophobic. While I do agree there are a lot of shitty bls and readers who fetishize gays, that doesn't mean everyone is like that. There are a LOT of amazing queer stories especially bls and people completely ignoring their existence just to keep their 'all bls glorify rape' agenda going doesn't sit right with me. Its even crazier cause sls could have the most basic, overused storylines and it'd have a 9.6/10 rating with 1k reviews. But God forbid a bl couple has a miscommunication. Then its the worst content to ever exist
Honestly, this site has become an echochamber of people saying something shitty about BL and gaining a few hundred upvotes, rinse and repeat. People forget that Asian countries are much more conservative, just because authors don't come out as queer or reveal their identity, doesn't mean there aren't queer BL creators or queer people who don't cons...... 1 reply
Not gonna moral police a whole genre but the most popular yaoi with ratings as high as 9.7 will be super toxic or have romanticized rape. I would rather take a basic SL over that. Amazing queer stories exist but they are nowhere near those toxic BLs in terms of popularity.

Personally? I’m not gonna moral police a series, but there are certain things I’m not a fan of including trying to redeem a character who’s done something really bad with a simple “oh they had a bad childhood” because it really doesn’t show ...... reply
Miscommunication is okay but some of the bl story overuse this to the point of me doubting if they are even ready for relationship if they ain't gonna communicate anything and jusg jump to conclusions 1 reply
