There are some good ones but i think it must add a lot of time to an artists work to have a complex tatt so they keep the shirt on or show it rarely or just have a simpler design on commonly visible parts

To be fair, it's quite hard to draw people with tattoos. Like you have to be consistent throughout the story, and it's complicated how it adapts to the form of your body. But there are manga where it's done excellently, for example Cover Up 1 reply
as someone mentioned, now that i think about it, it's quite hard to find good shots of the more elaborate tattoos.
