Corona in the supermarket
Hey guys, what are the most demanded items in your countries? I heart in France is it red wine and condoms...is that true ? In Germany we enjoy in times like that to buy toiletpaper and pasta... : D
in the us its toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and bottled water. I think there are some others but I can't remember.
they're telling us to stay indoors and "socially distance" ourselves so now I have an excuse for being a outcast who refuses to leave the house(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ 1 reply
Germany.
Toilet paper, all kinds of disinfectant and milk.
But really, WHAT'S UP WITH THE TOILET PAPER? What do you usually have right next to a toilet? A sink and a shower/bathtub with water. Even if all hell broke loose, why toilet paper?!?!?!?!? 4 reply
Another story from U.S.A. Yes, no toilet paper or hand sanitizer. Frozen chicken and frozen vegetarian fake meats were gone, along with potatoes and flour. In my state of North Carolina, police tracked down a stolen trailer and it was FILLED with stolen toilet paper. This is the point we’ve gotten to: Black market toilet paper. I also noticed Pasta sauce was cleaned out at a few places along with tea bags. There is almost no meat anywhere along with cleaning stuff and sanitizes. I have even herd of people hording deodorant in a few places! plea...... reply
here in Italy are: flour, eggs and yeast/baking powder! in these boring times at home literally everybody is cooking any kind of food, from tipycal pasta handmade to cakes. in my family in the past 2 weeks we cooked 4 types of biscuits that we never had the chance to cook before hehehe (yes sweets are more fun to cook) 3 reply
Germany. Like everyone said: toilet paper, pasta. And of course: Potatoes, because we are german xD
But if you go early in the morning you you can still find all this (but toilet paper and pasta are mostly restricted to one to three packs a person).
But what is really missing: Flour and yeast. Like: Does everyone suddenly start baking their own b...... 2 reply
In Croatia it is apparently alcohol, then soap, then yeast (for making bread), which implies flour as next and of course top 5 is rounded with toilet paper.
