THEY/THEM PEOPLE
So I know that a lot of you here are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community ( I'm pan too btw) but please explain to me why you guys would like to use the they/ them pronounce like what's the deal when you can just be a femenine guy or masculine girl or just a guy or girl but why popularize a whole pronoun that'll make you sound like you're more than a single person it's so confusing and what the hell happened to this community after the pandemic? The LGBTQIA+ community are the kindest and most talented people I used to know the community was just going with the agenda "love is love" and be tolerant and open minded but currently all our community do is offend people and forced them to whatever the hell we believe not even considering if it would be against their morals and demand respect from them when all we do is disrespect (I'm not trying to offend or disrespect anyone here I just wanted to know why would you used a pronounce ment for more than one person when you're just "you" and sorry for my bad english)
nonbinary people use they/them pronouns because they don't identify with male or female gender. also, they are nonbinary not they/them people.
we do not disrespect people by asking for basic human decency. its not on us as lgbtqia people that our existence 'offends' people. we are who we are and we deserve respect and understanding as much as the...... 2 reply
the whole point is they dont identify w being male or female so idk about the "feminine guy of masculine girl" thing ur tryna say but at the end of the day its not that serious n its just something ppl are comfortable with reply
yea u def exist online you sound like an actual npc regurgitating these opinions cause u watched one sneako video. n my guy no normal lgbtq person doing some corny shit like that irl past the age of 18. everyone using this dumbass point literally has no friends that are gay and only see the ones online saying this slow ass shit and act like every g...... 4 reply
To my understanding, people can use they/them for a variety of reasons (they do not identify with either gender or identify with both, etc.). It's dangerous to characterise the LGBTQ+ community as forceful, sensitive, and hateful because, for example, those instances of someone screaming at another person for not using their pronouns as you see cir...... 2 reply
"they" has been used as a singular pronoun since the 14th century. whenever the gender of a person was unknown or didn't want to be revealed, they'd use "THEY"
"A student left behind their backpack"
"Someone forgot their umbrella"
"After chatting online for a few minutes, I let them know I wasn’t interested"
It's the same thing about non bina...... 2 reply
A lot of people like to go by they/them I'm assuming because they feel like they're both at the same time? And you can use she/him but it might confuse ppl so why not just use they/them.
Or maybe they don't identify as either/feel like either pronoun, I personally don't know lmao but that's just my theory. 1 reply
I'll never understand why people think that being part of the lgbtq community excuses them from being transphobic (especially when they're cis) 4 reply
You are just mad cuz you can't allow yourself being who you rlly want to be so you want to deny that freedom to the nb folk also. it's never about them, always about you
you are free to be who you want to be. free yourself reply
First of all, they/them pronouns were always also used as a singular, like when you talking about a person without using their gender, talking about a hypothetical person and what not. It's really nor that hard to just use it, you've already probably been doing it every day (if you speak english). Second, no, it's not against anyone's morals or bel...... reply
